The Cannon

Known as The Cannon. 2014: First tournament appearance at All England Championships. Claimed the £300 Westcliff Hard Wilson Series title in my second tournament. Organised the £100 Rally 4 Bally Event on the grass at the NTC. 2015: Organised £300 British Hard Court Championships at NTC. Made Quarter Finals at All England and won the doubles title with Elliott Mould. 2016: Organised second annual British Hard Court Championships at NTC, this time upgraded to a £500 Masters event and sponsored by Chipotle. Won the £100 Ebbisham Challenger, made the Semi Finals in Portsmouth and the Quarter Finals of All England singles. Biggest match win so far was beating Simon Roberts in the semi's of Ssangyong Cirencester Masters, first person to beat him in two years. Finished the year with a runner up spot at Babolat Masters Cup in Tolworth, whilst winning the doubles with Elliott Mould, staying undefeated for our sixth tournament win in six events. 2017: Made Quarter Finals at my first three tournaments of the year at the Northampton 300, the British Hard Court Masters in Roehampton and the Woking 300 on grass. Then kicked on to make semi's at the Surrey Masters in Weybridge, before making my first Slam final in singles at the Belgium Open on the dirt. Also took the doubles crown in Belgium in my debut event partnering Ashley Neaves. Capped off the year with a win at the £300 Ebbisham event and a semi final appearance at the Masters Cup. 2018: Having made the Quarter Finals at the PFP Open in January, losing to Guy Thomas in a tough match, my subsequent two tournaments in Portsmouth and Weybridge ended in defeats to Matt Pearce in both. The end of the year saw my best run of form to date, starting off by taking the title at the West Bridgford Classic, before playing the best touchtennis of my career to win the Tile Masters Cup, beating World Number 1 Alex Miotto in the final. 2019: After some time away from tournaments at the start of the year, made a comeback at the Weybridge Slam in the summer, losing to Hassan in the semi's after a couple of gruelling matches to reach that stage. Then found my winning form again in Walsall at the £300 Midlands Open event, taking my 7th singles title and the doubles crown with Super Al Mezzetti. 2020: Cheers COVID - no touchtennis for me! 2021: Wolverhampton Westgate Stainless £300 event - first one for a whiiile. Scooped the trophy in the sunshine and teamed up with the GOAT for the first time for a run in the doubles. Key goal: #JustBeBetter
