Mould Continues Run of Finals Or Better at Oz Open

Elliott Mould won his 2nd Oz Open Title at the Weybridge Tennis Academy yesterday defeating James Marsalek in 3 punishing sets. Well, 2 actually as the 3rd set was an appaling tank job by Marsalek. 

Marsalek had given it his all during his quarter final win over Marcus Willis. The first defeat in 6 slams handed out to the Bomb in 4 insanely high level sets. 

The GOAT made his comeback and for a set looked like he was on course to lift another slam and take his tally to 21. But flashes of utter brilliance and magnificent shot-making weren't enough to carry him through as he went down in 4 heroic sets to the journeyman James Allen who'd earlier relinquished his "marital rights" for the night by beating his girlfriend in the previous round. 

Ahmad did however make the doubles final and despite carrying Marcus Willis through the earlier rounds he was unable to sustain that in the final against the new champions Bull and Mould. 

So another slam and another "double" for Enrique. 

Will he do the Djokovic this year? Or will he cramp up and Djchoke it up?
